The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you could be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, depending on the setting. This may include autism, SEMH, SLD, PMLD, communication and interaction needs, complex needs and pupils with EHCPs.

You will be responsible for creating a safe, positive and engaging learning environment, adapting teaching to meet individual needs and supporting pupils to make progress both academically and personally. Depending on the school, you may also work closely with Teaching Assistants, pastoral teams, families and other professionals to support individual pupils.

We are keen to hear from teachers who are patient, adaptable and passionate about inclusive education. Previous SEN experience is highly beneficial, but we are also happy to speak with mainstream teachers who are interested in developing their experience within SEN settings.
