Your Day-to-Day Role

As a Primary Instructor, you will be responsible for helping pupils stay engaged and make progress throughout the school day. Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering lessons and learning activities across the primary curriculum.

• Working with pupils across different subjects and age groups.

• Following lesson plans and school guidance while using your own initiative where appropriate.

• Taking the lead in the classroom and ensuring lessons run smoothly.

• Creating an engaging and inclusive atmosphere where every pupil can participate.

• Supporting children who may require additional guidance with their learning.

• Managing behaviour positively and establishing clear classroom routines.

• Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning.

• Working alongside class teachers and support staff to ensure pupils receive consistent support.

• Helping to identify when pupils may need additional assistance or intervention.

• Supporting school trips, activities, assemblies, and wider school events when required.

• Maintaining professional standards and following the school's safeguarding procedures.
