The Opportunity

Looking for flexible teaching work close to home? Tradewind Recruitment is working with a wide network of primary and independent schools across Hillingdon, with opportunities for daily supply, regular weekly bookings and longer-term placements across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

We have opportunities across Hayes, Uxbridge, West Drayton, Ruislip, Ickenham, Hillingdon and Yiewsley, with immediate starts available subject to successful registration and completion of the required checks.

Role: Supply Primary Teacher
Contract: Temporary agency work, with flexible daily bookings and potential long-term placements
Start: Immediate / ongoing
Daily supply pay: £150-£170 per day PAYE, depending on relevant experience, qualifications and booking requirements
Long-term pay: May be paid on the applicable teacher salary scale, depending on the role and relevant experience

The Role

As a Supply Primary Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
  • Maintain classroom routines and manage pupil behaviour effectively.
  • Adapt to different school environments and follow each school's policies.
  • Keep pupils engaged and support their learning throughout the day.
  • Provide feedback to school staff at the end of the booking.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and represent Tradewind Recruitment professionally.

Daily supply generally does not involve responsibility for longer-term planning or routine staff meetings unless specifically agreed for the assignment.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification and eligibility to teach in England.
  • Primary teaching experience. Relevant school placements may be considered for ECTs.
  • Confident classroom management and the ability to deliver lessons effectively.
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to different year groups and school environments.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • A clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.

ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply. Overseas-trained teachers may also be considered where their qualifications and eligibility meet the relevant requirements.

Availability for at least one day per week is preferred.

Transport links vary by school, with access to the Elizabeth, Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines and local bus routes. On-site parking is available at some schools.
