This position offers the opportunity to deliver engaging English lessons, support pupils in developing their reading and writing skills, and prepare students for the next stages of their education.

The Role

As a Teacher of English, your responsibilities will include:

• Teaching English to KS3 and KS4 pupils.
• Delivering lessons that develop reading, writing, spelling, grammar and analytical skills.
• Supporting pupils in their understanding of literature and language.
• Maintaining positive classroom behaviour and high expectations for learning.
• Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching approaches to meet different learning needs.
• Preparing pupils for GCSE English assessments, where required.

What we're looking for...

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching English at secondary level, ideally across KS3 and KS4.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Effective classroom management and communication skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and supporting pupil progress.
