Cover Supervisor - Hounslow

Flexible supply work | Secondary schools | No teaching qualification required

Do you enjoy working with young people? Are you a graduate, sports coach, tutor or someone with experience supporting young people who would like to explore a career in education?

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for confident, reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Hounslow with day-to-day supply cover.

No teaching qualification or previous school experience is required. However, experience working with young people is essential, whether through mentoring, tutoring, sports coaching, youth work or another relevant role.

What does the role involve?

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll help lessons run smoothly when teachers are absent. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising secondary school classes and distributing pre-prepared lesson materials.

• Encouraging students to stay focused and complete their work.

• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.

• Supporting students and following school procedures.

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience working with young people.

• Confidence supervising groups and managing behaviour.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• A calm, positive and professional attitude.

• Flexibility, reliability and a willingness to work in different school environments.

• The right to work in the UK and willingness to complete the required recruitment and safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check.

A degree is desirable but not essential for every opportunity. Your experience, confidence and ability to engage with young people are what matter most.

These are ad hoc supply assignments available when schools require additional cover. Work is not guaranteed every day, so flexibility is important.
