Tradewind Recruitment is looking for caring, enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to support secondary schools across Hounslow.

Whether you have previous school experience or have worked with young people through tutoring, mentoring, youth work or childcare, we'd love to hear from you.

What will you be doing?

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers to support students with their learning, confidence and development. Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting students with classroom activities and learning tasks.

• Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.

• Helping maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

• Encouraging students to develop their independence and confidence.

• Providing additional support to students who need help with their learning or behaviour.

• Following school policies and safeguarding procedures.

What are we looking for?

To be considered for a Teaching Assistant role, you'll ideally have:

• Experience working with children or young people, either in a school or another relevant setting.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• A patient, positive and approachable manner.

• The ability to build relationships and motivate students.

• A flexible, proactive and dependable attitude.

• The right to work in the UK and willingness to complete the necessary recruitment and safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check.

Previous school experience is beneficial, but transferable experience may also be suitable. A teaching qualification is not required.

Assignments may include day-to-day supply or longer-term placements, depending on school requirements and your experience. Opportunities are available across Hounslow, although work is not guaranteed every day.
