SANZA are recruiting! Are you interested in working with children with special needs in a purpose-built environment with the right support?

SANZA are currently recruiting for a wonderful SEN provision in Waltham Forest! This is a specialist SEN provision that caters to students aged 2- 18 years. It is a wonderful place to work, where children and staff are one big community!

They are seeking special needs teaching assistants who can begin immediately and who can commit long-term.

As a special needs teaching assistant applying for this position, you will have to:

• Be patient, empathetic and resilient
• Have strong communication skills (with children, parents, and staff).
• Be flexible and adaptable
• Teamwork - working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists.
• Keep a calm and positive attitude in challenging situations.

About you:

• Experience working with children, ideally those with special educational needs
• Understanding of different types of special educational needs
• Experience with specialist communication methods (e.g. Makaton, PECS, BSL, AAC devices) is desirable
• Willingness to assist with personal care needs where required (feeding, toileting, mobility assistance).
