Job Description
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a caring and reliable 1:1 Support Assistant, working within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in the BL3 postcode of Bolton. This is a full-time, term-time role designed to support a young pupil with additional learning needs. Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual support to a child with additional learning needs in EYFS, following their Individual Education Plan (IEP).
Help the pupil access the EYFS curriculum, supporting development across communication, social skills, personal, emotional, literacy, and numeracy areas.
Assist with personal care needs (toileting, hygiene) sensitively and respectfully.
Observe, monitor and record progress, reporting to class teacher and SENCO to adapt support as needed.
Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate strategies and ensure an inclusive learning environment.
Person Specification:
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) required.
Prior experience working with young children in EYFS, especially with children with special educational needs (SEND).
Strong communication skills- verbal and written, able to interact effectively with the pupil, staff, and families.
Empathy, patience, calmness under pressure, flexibility, and resilience.
Enhanced DBS clearance, or willingness to obtain one.
