Job Description
Location: West Bradford (Near Clitheroe), Lancashire (BB7 area) Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance) Contract: Full-Time, Temp to Perm Start Date: 1st June 2026
The Opportunity: Shaping a New Start
Are you a Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS) looking for a role that offers more autonomy and impact? We are launching a brand-new Alternative Provision (AP) in West Bradford and are seeking a foundational teacher to join us from 1st June 2026.
This is a Temp to Perm position. You will join the founding team during our pre-opening setup phase, allowing you to influence the curriculum and environment before transitioning to a permanent school contract. You will be teaching small groups of students with complex SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs and SEND.
Key Responsibilities
Classroom Innovation: Design and deliver an engaging curriculum for students who have found mainstream education challenging.
SEMH Specialist: Implement trauma-informed strategies to support pupils with EHCPs and emotional regulation needs.
Founding Team Member: Assist the Lead Teacher in setting up the learning spaces and establishing a positive, inclusive school culture.
Progress Tracking: Monitor academic and social-emotional growth, providing a "fresh start" for every learner.
What We Are Looking For
Mandatory: Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
Experience: Previous work within an Alternative Provision (AP), PRU, or Special School is highly desirable.
Resilience: A calm, authoritative presence and a deep-seated belief in the potential of every child.
Ribble Valley Connection: Willingness to work in a rural, therapeutic setting in the BB7 area.
Why Join Our West Bradford AP?
The Path to Permanency: A guaranteed route to a permanent contract following a successful "founding" period.
Strategic Start: The June start date allows you to be fully inducted and "at home" in the school before the September term begins.
Small Class Sizes: Focus on quality 1:1 and small group instruction rather than 30+ pupil management.
Professional Growth: Be part of a brand-new project with significant opportunities for leadership as the provision expands.
