Location: West Bradford (Near Clitheroe), Lancashire (BB7 area) Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (+ SEN Allowance) Contract: Full-Time, Temp to Perm Start Date: 1st June 2026
The Opportunity: Education Beyond the Classroom
Are you a Qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS) who believes that nature is the ultimate classroom? We are launching a brand-new Alternative Provision (AP) in West Bradford and are seeking a foundational Outdoor Education Teacher to join our team.
Starting on 1st June 2026, you will be a key member of our founding staff. This is a Temp to Perm position, providing a unique "lead-in" period during our setup phase to shape the outdoor curriculum before transitioning to a permanent school contract.
Key Responsibilities
Outdoor Curriculum Lead: Design and deliver a high-impact, therapeutic outdoor curriculum (Bushcraft, Horticulture, PE, and Nature Studies).
SEMH Specialist: Support students with complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs using the natural environment to build resilience.
EHCP Implementation: Work closely with the SENCO to achieve learning outcomes for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Founding Team Setup: Assist in the development of our rural West Bradford site, preparing outdoor learning zones for a September intake.
What We Are Looking For
Mandatory: Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
Specialism: Proven experience in Outdoor Education or Forest School leadership is highly desirable.
Resilience: A passion for working with "hard to reach" learners in an Alternative Provision (AP) setting.
Ribble Valley Connection: Comfortable working in all weathers within our beautiful rural BB7 location.
