Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in a range of secondary schools in the Wellingborough area. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals looking for flexible work within local schools.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of the regular teacher. You will deliver pre-set work, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students remain on task throughout the lesson.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising whole classes using work set by teaching staff

  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Ensuring a positive learning environment

  • Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson progress

  • Supporting students where required

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with young people (school, tutoring, coaching, youth work, etc.)

  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • Confident communication and classroom presence

  • Flexible and reliable approach to work

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
