Salary: Competitive daily rate / MPS-UPS (dependent on experience)

We are partnering with a secondary school in Northampton seeking a dedicated Culinary Arts Teacher to join their team from April or September 2026. This role is open to both full-time and part-time candidates, making it an excellent opportunity for experienced teachers or ECTs to deliver engaging and practical lessons within a supportive department.

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver Culinary Arts lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Teach practical cooking skills, nutrition, menu planning, and food safety
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and safe kitchen practices
  • Assess, monitor, and support student progress
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and well-structured learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS or is working towards Qualified Teacher Status
  • Strong subject knowledge in Culinary Arts, Food Technology, or a related discipline
  • Confident delivering practical lessons in a fast-paced classroom setting
  • Well-organised with strong classroom management skills
  • Passionate, reliable, and committed to student development
  • Previous secondary teaching experience is desirable but not essential
