Location: Northampton
Start Date: April or September 2026
Contract: Full-Time or Part-Time | Long-Term or Permanent
Salary: Competitive daily rate / MPS-UPS (dependent on experience)

We are currently supporting a secondary school in Northampton in their search for a Cooking Teacher to join their team from April or September 2026. This position is flexible, offering both full-time and part-time options, and would suit experienced teachers as well as ECTs looking to grow within a supportive department.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and practical Cooking lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Teach key skills such as food preparation, nutrition, and kitchen safety
  • Ensure a safe, hygienic, and well-managed learning environment
  • Monitor student performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom culture
  • Work alongside colleagues to support curriculum development

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS or is working towards achieving it
  • Has strong knowledge of cooking, nutrition, or a related subject
  • Comfortable leading practical lessons in a dynamic classroom
  • Demonstrates strong organisational and behaviour management skills
  • Motivated, reliable, and focused on student achievement
  • Previous experience in a secondary school setting is beneficial
