Contract: Full-Time | Permanent (Ideally) | Fixed-Term or Long-Term Supply Considered

We are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Northampton that is seeking a Teacher of Food Technology to join their team from September 2026. The school is ideally looking for a permanent appointment, although fixed-term and long-term supply options will also be considered depending on the right candidate.
The Role:
- Delivering high-quality Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Planning and delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons
- Supporting students to develop knowledge in nutrition, food science, and healthy living
- Setting clear learning objectives and regularly assessing student progress
- Providing effective feedback to support achievement and exam preparation
- Ensuring high standards of food hygiene, safety, and classroom organisation
- Contributing to a positive and collaborative department culture
- Staying up to date with curriculum developments, exam requirements, and subject knowledge
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)
- Strong subject knowledge in Food Technology and related areas
- Confident delivering both practical and theoretical lessons
- Passionate about helping students succeed academically and personally
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- A team player who contributes positively to school life
