Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)

We're working with a secondary school in Northampton that is looking to appoint an Art & Design Teacher from June or September 2026. The school is ideally hoping to make a permanent appointment, but there is flexibility for fixed-term or long-term supply depending on your situation.

The Role:
- Teaching Art & Design across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 may be available depending on experience)
- Planning lessons that allow students to work with a variety of materials, techniques, and styles
- Supporting students in building both technical skills and their own creative approach
- Encouraging independence, experimentation, and confidence in their work
- Assessing progress and providing clear, useful feedback
- Keeping the classroom or studio organised and set up for practical learning
- Contributing to displays, coursework moderation, and department planning
What We're Looking For:
- QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Art & Design in a secondary school setting
- Ability to deliver engaging, practical lessons across different ability levels
- Good classroom management and organisation
- A genuine interest in the subject and helping students improve
- Willingness to be involved in wider school life where needed
- ECTs are welcome and will be supported
