Maths Graduate Teacher - Northampton

Start Date: June or September 2026 | Full-Time | Paid Graduate Teaching Role with Teacher Training Pathway

A well-regarded secondary school in Northampton is seeking an enthusiastic Maths Graduate to join their team from June or September 2026. This is a full-time role designed to provide valuable classroom experience, alongside a clear and supported pathway into teacher training, including routes such as School Direct, PGCE with QTS, or apprenticeship-based programmes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the Maths department with lesson delivery across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Assisting with planning engaging and structured lessons
  • Delivering small group interventions and 1:1 support to improve student attainment and confidence
  • Gradually taking on more responsibility in the classroom with guidance from experienced teachers
  • Assisting with marking, assessments, and progress tracking
  • Supporting extra-curricular Maths activities such as revision sessions or clubs
  • Participating in CPD and pre-teacher training development

What We're Looking For

  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject (minimum 2:2)
  • A genuine interest in pursuing a career in teaching
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, patient, and enthusiastic approach
  • Experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, coaching, mentoring) is desirable but not essential
  • The right to work in the UK
