Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated, adaptable and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a specialist provision in Irthlingborough from September. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity within a supportive and rewarding environment, ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

The provision supports children and young people with a wide range of additional needs and learning differences who require a more personalised and supportive educational setting. Many pupils benefit from smaller class sizes, tailored learning approaches, and additional support to help them engage positively with education and develop confidence both academically and socially.

Students may present with a variety of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, moderate learning difficulties, communication needs, and social or emotional challenges. The school takes a nurturing and child-centred approach, with a strong focus on creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment where every pupil feels valued and understood.

As an HLTA, you will play an important role in supporting teaching and learning across the provision. This may include:

• Delivering targeted interventions and small group support sessions
• Providing classroom support and leading learning activities when required
• Supporting pupils to remain engaged and make progress in lessons
• Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and confidence
• Working closely with teachers and support staff to meet individual learning needs
• Building strong, positive relationships with pupils to support wellbeing and development

We are looking for individuals who are patient, proactive, and committed to making a meaningful difference in young people's lives. Previous experience working within education, specialist settings, youth work, care, or other people-focused roles is highly desirable. HLTA qualification or experience leading learning is beneficial, though strong transferable skills and the right attitude are equally important.
