Support Technology and Learning in Wellingborough

TradeWind Recruitment is seeking a proactive and skilled IT Technician to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Wellingborough. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual to play a key role in maintaining and developing the school's IT infrastructure, ensuring staff and students have access to reliable technology to support teaching and learning.

The Role:

  • Provide first and second-line IT support to staff and students.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software, printers, and network systems.

  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and upgrading of IT equipment and applications.

  • Support classroom technology, including interactive displays, audiovisual equipment, and learning platforms.

  • Monitor and maintain the school's IT systems, ensuring security and efficiency.

  • Assist with user account management and system administration tasks.

  • Work collaboratively with staff to resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience in an IT support or technician role.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and common educational technologies.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication and customer service skills.

  • The ability to prioritise workload and work independently when required.

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
