Are you a passionate Maths Teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic, resilient and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a thriving Alternative Provision from September 2026.

This specialist provision supports students aged 11-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The school offers a nurturing, trauma-informed environment where relationships come first, allowing pupils to rebuild confidence, develop resilience and achieve academic success.

As the successful Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that inspire students who may have previously struggled in mainstream education. You will understand that progress is measured in many ways and will celebrate every achievement, both academically and personally.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Have experience of, or a strong interest in, working with students with SEMH and/or ASC.
  • Be patient, empathetic and able to build positive, trusting relationships.
  • Be skilled at adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.
  • Have excellent behaviour management based on consistency, respect and restorative practice.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
