Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join an exceptional Alternative Provision from September 2026.
This specialist school educates students aged 11-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The school provides a highly supportive environment where personalised learning, positive relationships and therapeutic approaches help students overcome barriers to education.
As Science Teacher, you will inspire curiosity through engaging and accessible lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. You will adapt learning to meet individual needs, ensuring every student experiences success regardless of previous educational experiences.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Demonstrate excellent behaviour management through restorative practice.
- Have experience working with, or a genuine interest in, SEMH and ASC.
- Be flexible, resilient and committed to inclusive education.
- Build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
- Have high expectations while understanding the challenges many students face.
