We are working with a wide range of specialist schools, alternative provisions and mainstream schools with SEND units across Northampton, offering flexible supply work, long-term placements, temp-to-perm opportunities and permanent positions.

Our schools support pupils with a variety of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), speech and language needs, physical disabilities and complex learning needs. The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
  • Provide pastoral support to help students overcome barriers to learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and external professionals.
  • Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

We're Looking For

We welcome applications from candidates with experience in education, care, youth work or other child-centred professions. We are also keen to hear from specialists including those with experience in:

  • Speech and Language Therapy (SALT)
  • Occupational Therapy (OT)
  • Educational Psychology (EP)
  • Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA) support
  • Behaviour mentoring
  • Mental health and wellbeing support
  • Autism and sensory support
