We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Kettering that is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school while making a lasting impact on pupils' educational journeys.

What the job involves:

• Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2

• Leading whole-class lessons and small group interventions in the absence of the class teacher

• Working closely with teachers to plan, prepare and deliver engaging learning activities

• Providing targeted support for pupils who require additional assistance, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

• Monitoring, assessing and recording pupil progress to support attainment and development

• Promoting positive behaviour and helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

• Supporting the development and adaptation of learning resources to meet individual pupil needs

• Working collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, parents and external agencies where required

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience working within a primary school setting

• HLTA status or a relevant qualification and experience equivalent to the role

• Confidence in leading lessons and supporting learning across the primary curriculum

• A nurturing, patient and proactive approach to supporting children

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and achieving the best outcomes for all pupils

• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
