SEND Teaching Assistant - Wellingborough
Tradewind Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Wellingborough who are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and committed individual who is eager to make a positive impact on the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
The Role:
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with SEND.
Support pupils with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and moderate learning difficulties.
Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and pastoral teams to implement tailored support strategies.
Encourage student engagement, independence, and positive behaviour within the classroom.
Assist with the delivery of interventions and personalised learning plans.
Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND.
Experience within a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach.
The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed.
