Learning Support Assistant - Wellingborough

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Wellingborough that is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is passionate about supporting young people in their education. The successful candidate will work closely with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them to engage with learning, develop confidence, and achieve their academic and personal goals.

The Role:

  • Provide classroom-based support to students across a range of subjects.

  • Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions to support learning and progress.

  • Assist teachers in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

  • Support students who may require additional academic, behavioural, or emotional support.

  • Encourage positive attitudes towards learning and promote student independence.

  • Monitor and record student progress where required.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational, youth work, coaching, or support setting.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach.

  • The ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed.
