Social Sciences Teacher - Wellingborough
Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a successful secondary school in Wellingborough seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Social Sciences Teacher to join their thriving Humanities and Social Sciences department.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to teach Social Sciences subjects at Key Stages 4 and 5, including Psychology, Sociology, and Criminology where applicable. The school is committed to academic excellence and provides a supportive environment where students are encouraged to develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deeper understanding of society.
The Role:
Plan and deliver engaging Social Sciences lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5.
Teach subjects such as Psychology, Sociology, and/or Criminology, depending on experience and departmental requirements.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes high achievement.
Assess, monitor, and support student progress through effective feedback and intervention.
Prepare students for examinations and support them in achieving their full potential.
Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the school.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
A degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Sciences, or a related subject.
Experience teaching one or more Social Sciences subjects in a secondary school or sixth form setting.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
The ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
