We are working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Kettering who are seeking a dedicated French Teacher for a September 2026 start. This is a full-time role offering both contract and permanent options, and would suit experienced teachers as well as Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to develop their practice within a supportive environment.

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured French lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 depending on experience)
  • Plan and deliver lessons that develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
  • Inspire a genuine interest in French language and culture through creative and varied teaching approaches
  • Support learners of all abilities, including SEND and EAL students, through effective differentiation
  • Encourage students to communicate confidently and take risks with language learning
  • Assess, track, and monitor student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
  • Contribute to departmental planning, enrichment activities, and wider school initiatives such as clubs or cultural events

Who We're Looking For:

  • Qualified French Teachers (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) with strong subject knowledge
  • Teachers who can make language learning engaging, accessible, and relevant
  • Confident classroom practitioners with strong behaviour management and high expectations
  • Reflective professionals who enjoy collaboration and continuous development
  • ECTs are warmly welcomed - full induction, mentoring, and support will be provided
