Cover Supervisor - Kettering

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking confident, reliable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in the Kettering area.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, youth workers, sports coaches, or anyone with experience working with young people who is looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a secondary school setting. Cover Supervisors play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects

• Supervise students and ensure they remain engaged with the work set

• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

• Promote a positive and productive learning environment

• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress, behaviour, and lesson outcomes

• Uphold safeguarding procedures and support student wellbeing throughout the school day

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have experience working with children or young people in any capacity

• Are confident managing groups of students

• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Are adaptable, resilient, and professional

• Have a genuine passion for education

• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply for one
