Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Unqualified Teacher to work within a supportive secondary school in the Wellingborough area. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, cover supervisors, instructors, or experienced education professionals looking to gain valuable teaching experience before undertaking teacher training or progressing their career within education.

As an Unqualified Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, supporting student progress, and creating a positive and engaging learning environment. You will have the opportunity to develop your classroom practice while working alongside experienced teaching staff.

The Role:

  • Deliver lessons across a range of subjects using prepared resources and lesson plans.

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain high expectations.

  • Support students in their learning and encourage participation.

  • Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of different learners.

  • Monitor student engagement and provide feedback to teaching staff.

  • Build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents where appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with young people in a school, coaching, tutoring, youth work, or similar setting.

  • A degree or relevant qualification is desirable but not essential.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Confidence leading a classroom independently.

  • Strong behaviour management skills.

  • A genuine passion for education and helping students succeed.
