Design Technology Teacher - Wellingborough

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Design Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Wellingborough. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons, fostering a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5.

  • Inspire students to develop practical skills, creativity, and technical understanding.

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.

  • Create a safe and productive workshop and classroom environment.

  • Support students of varying abilities to achieve positive outcomes.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.

  • Uphold high standards of behaviour, attendance, and achievement.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Experience teaching Design Technology within a secondary school setting.

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subject.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  • The ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
