Behaviour and Inclusion Mentor - Wellingborough
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient Behaviour and Inclusion Mentor to join a supportive secondary school in the Wellingborough area.
This rewarding role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning, improve behaviour, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.
The Role
As a Behaviour and Inclusion Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional support with behaviour, attendance, engagement, and emotional wellbeing. You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, building strong relationships, and supporting students to succeed within the school environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group mentoring sessions.
- Supporting students with behavioural, social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Encouraging positive engagement with learning and school life.
- Implementing behaviour support strategies and interventions.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, SEN staff, and parents.
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with young people in a school, youth work, mentoring, support work, or similar setting.
- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Confidence supporting students with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviours.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for making a positive impact on young people's lives.
