Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the Corby area. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher or experienced Food Technology specialist looking to inspire students and develop their practical cooking, nutrition, and food preparation skills.

The successful candidate will join a supportive department committed to delivering engaging and creative lessons that encourage students to develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong understanding of healthy eating and food science.

The Role

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Inspire students to develop practical cooking skills and knowledge of nutrition

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management

  • Ensure all health and safety procedures within the food technology department are followed

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and department

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification

  • Experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary school setting

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for food education

  • The ability to motivate and engage learners of all abilities

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
