Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a welcoming secondary school in the Wellingborough area that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them achieve their full potential in the classroom.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide academic and pastoral support to students. You will assist with classroom activities, support pupils who require additional help, and contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students in lessons on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.

  • Assist teachers with classroom preparation and learning activities.

  • Encourage student engagement and participation in lessons.

  • Provide support for pupils with additional learning needs where required.

  • Help maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.

  • Promote student wellbeing and confidence.

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience working with children or young people, either in education or a related setting.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A patient, positive, and proactive approach.

  • The ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people's learning and development.

  • Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
