We are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable A Level Psychology Tutor to provide 1:1 support to a student in Northamptonshire. This rewarding opportunity involves delivering personalised academic support to help a learner develop their confidence, strengthen their subject knowledge, and make progress within their A Level Psychology studies.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a student on an individual basis, tailoring sessions to their specific learning needs while helping them develop the skills and understanding required to succeed.

What Does an A Level Psychology Tutor Role Involve?

  • Delivering approximately 8 hours of 1:1 A Level Psychology tuition per week

  • Planning and delivering engaging sessions tailored to the student's individual learning needs

  • Supporting understanding of key A Level Psychology topics, including research methods, biopsychology, social influence, memory, attachment, psychopathology, and psychological approaches

  • Helping the student develop exam technique, essay structure, evaluation skills, and effective revision strategies

  • Breaking down complex psychological theories and concepts into clear, accessible explanations

  • Building a positive and encouraging relationship to increase confidence and engagement

  • Monitoring progress and adapting sessions to support academic development

  • Completing brief session reports to track learning and outcomes

Who We're Looking For:

  • Strong subject knowledge of A Level Psychology

  • Experience supporting young people through tutoring, mentoring, teaching, or educational support roles

  • A Psychology degree or relevant academic background is desirable

  • A patient, supportive, and adaptable approach

  • Confidence delivering personalised 1:1 tuition and adapting sessions to meet individual needs

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and encourage learners

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
