A Level Law Tutor - Northamptonshire

Contract: Part-Time | 8 Hours Per Week | Ongoing
Salary: £25-£35 per hour (paid weekly)

Are you a Law student, graduate, or education professional looking for a flexible opportunity where you can share your knowledge and help a young person succeed?

We are looking for a confident and approachable A Level Law Tutor to provide 1:1 academic support to a student in Northamptonshire. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys explaining legal concepts, building confidence, and helping students develop the skills they need to achieve their goals.

The successful tutor will work closely with the student to strengthen their understanding of A Level Law, improve exam technique, and develop the ability to apply legal principles clearly and effectively.

About the Role:

  • Provide 8 hours of 1:1 A Level Law tuition per week

  • Plan and deliver engaging sessions based on the student's current level, strengths, and areas for development

  • Support understanding of key legal topics, including criminal law, contract law, tort law, legal systems, and sources of law

  • Help develop essay writing skills, legal analysis, evaluation, and exam preparation techniques

  • Break down challenging legal concepts and case studies into clear and manageable explanations

  • Encourage independent thinking, confidence, and a positive attitude towards learning

  • Track progress and provide feedback to support continued improvement

  • Complete brief session reports to record learning and progress

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong knowledge of A Level Law content

  • Currently studying Law at university, a Law graduate, or someone with relevant legal/teaching experience

  • The ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and engaging way

  • A supportive and patient approach with the confidence to build a strong working relationship with a student

  • Good organisation skills and the ability to plan structured tuition sessions

  • Experience working with young people is desirable

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
