Food Technician
Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Contract: Full-time

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in food preparation, nutrition, or education who enjoys supporting students and staff within a busy school setting.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Food Technology department, ensuring practical lessons run smoothly and safely while helping students gain valuable culinary skills.

The Role:

  • Preparing ingredients, equipment, and resources for Food Technology lessons.

  • Supporting teachers and students during practical sessions.

  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment.

  • Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies when required.

  • Ensuring food hygiene and health and safety regulations are followed at all times.

  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment and workspaces after lessons.

  • Assisting with displays, resources, and departmental administration where needed.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has experience working within a food preparation, catering, hospitality, education, or similar environment.

  • Has a good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety practices.

  • Is organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Enjoys working with young people and supporting their learning.

  • Has strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one through Tradewind Recruitment.
