Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Kettering. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys making a positive difference to young people's lives and is committed to helping students achieve their full potential.

The Role

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide high-quality support to students both in and out of the classroom. You will play an important role in creating a positive learning environment and helping students overcome barriers to learning.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups

• Assisting with classroom activities and lesson delivery

• Encouraging student engagement, confidence and independence

• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND

• Promoting positive behaviour and helping students remain focused on their learning

• Working collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams and parents where required

• Helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience

• Has previous experience working with children or young people

• Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• Is patient, adaptable and enthusiastic

• Has a genuine passion for supporting young people in education

• Can work effectively as part of a team

• Has an understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities

Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs would be advantageous but is not essential.
