Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work in Kettering and the surrounding areas? Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to join our team and support a range of SEN schools and mainstream schools with specialist provisions across Northamptonshire.

The Role

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils across a variety of settings and age groups, including children and young people with autism, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, communication needs and complex additional needs.

Depending on the school and individual role, your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning.
• Supporting pupils with their communication, engagement and emotional regulation.
• Providing consistent support for pupils with additional needs.
• Helping to create a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Supporting pupils during lessons, break times and wider school activities.
• Following individual pupil support plans and school policies.
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff.
• Providing personal care or physical support where this is part of the role and you have the appropriate experience/training.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from Teaching Assistants who have experience working with children or young people, particularly within SEN, SEND, SEMH, Alternative Provision or mainstream school settings.

Relevant experience could include working as a:

• Teaching Assistant
• SEN Teaching Assistant
• Learning Support Assistant
• 1:1 Teaching Assistant
• Support Worker
• Youth Worker
• Residential Support Worker
• Behaviour Mentor
• Nursery Practitioner
• Care Worker

You don't necessarily need to have worked in a special school before. If you have experience supporting children or young people with additional needs and have the right attitude, patience and commitment, we'd be keen to hear from you.
