SEN Learning Support Assistant - Brent

January 2027 Start | £95-£115 per day | Full-time

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a specialist education setting in Brent, supporting pupils who benefit from additional help with learning, communication and personal development. The school is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Learning Support Assistants to join its team from January 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful difference while helping pupils build confidence, develop independence and engage with their education.

The Role:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support.

  • Help pupils access classroom activities and develop essential skills.

  • Support communication, emotional regulation and positive behaviour.

  • Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and accessible learning activities.

  • Follow individual support plans and contribute to pupils' progress.

  • Help maintain a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has previous experience working with children or young people with SEND.

  • Is patient, adaptable and confident building positive relationships.

  • Can respond calmly to pupils' individual needs.

  • Has strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.

Experience supporting pupils with Autism, communication needs or challenging behaviour would be advantageous.
