Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and dedicated Maths Teacher to work within a secondary school in Wellingborough.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maths Teacher or Early Career Teacher (ECT) who is passionate about making Mathematics engaging, accessible and enjoyable for young people.

We are looking for someone who can deliver inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop their mathematical understanding, problem-solving abilities and confidence.

The successful candidate will be committed to raising attainment, encouraging positive attitudes towards Mathematics and supporting students of all abilities to achieve their potential.

The Role

As a Maths Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4.

• Teaching topics including algebra, geometry, statistics, number and problem-solving.

• Preparing students for GCSE Mathematics examinations.

• Differentiating lessons to support students with varying abilities and learning needs.

• Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.

• Identifying gaps in learning and delivering targeted interventions.

• Encouraging mathematical confidence, independent thinking and participation.

• Maintaining positive classroom behaviour and high expectations.

• Creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

• Working collaboratively with the Mathematics department and wider school team.

• Following school safeguarding policies and procedures.

What Are We Looking For?

We would love to hear from candidates who:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification.

• Have experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school, including relevant teaching placements.

• Have strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Maths.

• Are confident delivering lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

• Understand GCSE Mathematics requirements and examination preparation.

• Can plan creative, engaging and differentiated lessons.

• Have effective classroom and behaviour management skills.

• Can build positive relationships with students and colleagues.

• Are organised, reliable and committed to student progress.
