Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Secondary Supply Teachers to work across a range of secondary schools in Wellingborough and the surrounding areas.
Whether you're an experienced teacher looking for a better work-life balance, an ECT wanting to gain experience in different schools, or a qualified teacher looking for regular work without the additional responsibilities of a permanent position, we would love to hear from you!
We work closely with local secondary schools to provide high-quality teaching staff for day-to-day cover, short-term placements and longer-term teaching opportunities.
You can choose the days you want to work, allowing you to fit teaching around your other commitments.
The Role
As a Secondary Supply Teacher, your responsibilities may include:
Delivering pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Providing general classroom cover across a range of subjects
Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Engaging and motivating students throughout lessons
Adapting to different school environments and classroom expectations
Following lesson plans and ensuring students remain on task
Providing feedback to school staff following lessons
Building positive relationships with students and colleagues
Supporting continuity of learning during teacher absences
For longer-term placements, responsibilities may also include planning, marking and assessment, depending on the requirements of the role.
Who Are We Looking For?
We would love to hear from teachers who:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have experience teaching within a secondary school environment
Are confident managing classrooms and engaging students
Have strong communication and behaviour management skills
Are adaptable, reliable and professional
Can work independently and follow school policies
Are passionate about supporting students' learning and development

Both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
