Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in the Wellingborough area.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who can bring History to life in the classroom, inspire curiosity and help students develop a strong understanding of the past. You will be teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons and supporting students to achieve their full potential.

The Role

As a History Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging History lessons across KS3 and KS4.

  • Teach a broad and varied curriculum, bringing historical events, people and periods to life.

  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations and support them in developing their subject knowledge.

  • Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.

  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs and abilities of all learners.

  • Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.

  • Encourage critical thinking, historical analysis and independent learning.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the wider department and school community.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Has experience teaching History at secondary level.

  • Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for History.

  • Can plan and deliver creative, engaging and well-structured lessons.

  • Has effective classroom and behaviour management skills.

  • Is committed to supporting students of all abilities to make progress.

  • Is reliable, enthusiastic and able to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
