Electrical Engineering Teacher
Location: Northamptonshire (Further Education)

We are working in partnership with a progressive college in Northamptonshire to recruit an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Electrical Engineering Teacher to join their team from March 2026. This is a full-time opportunity, available on either a permanent contract or long-term basis, depending on your preference.

The Role:

As an Electrical Engineering Teacher, you will deliver high-quality teaching across Level 2 and Level 3 programmes, combining theoretical knowledge with practical workshop-based learning.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Electrical Engineering lessons aligned with awarding body standards

  • Teaching key topics such as electrical principles, installation, fault finding, control systems, and health & safety

  • Supporting students in developing practical competencies within workshop environments

  • Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and tracking achievement

  • Differentiating lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs

  • Contributing to curriculum development and continuous improvement within the department

  • Supporting enrichment activities, employer engagement, and work placement opportunities

About You:

  • A qualified teacher (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards a teaching qualification

  • A strong background in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installation

  • Industry experience in relevant electrical fields

  • Confident delivering both theory-based and practical sessions

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • A collaborative and proactive approach to supporting learner progress
