In-Person Tutor - Flexible Opportunities (via Tradewind Recruitment)
Location: Local placements in your area
Contract: Part-Time, Full-Time, After-School & Daytime Tuition Available
Pay: Competitive hourly rates (dependent on experience and subject specialism)

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking dedicated, enthusiastic and compassionate In-Person Tutors to provide high-quality face-to-face tuition to pupils in schools, community settings, or within home environments. This is a rewarding opportunity for qualified teachers, experienced tutors, and subject specialists who are passionate about making a direct impact on student progress.

As an In-Person Tutor, you will work closely with learners on a 1:1 or small group basis, delivering targeted support to raise attainment, boost confidence, and close learning gaps. Tuition may include primary literacy and numeracy support, GCSE and A-Level exam preparation, intervention programmes, or alternative provision for pupils who require additional support outside of mainstream classroom settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver personalised lessons aligned with the national curriculum.

  • Identify learning gaps and adapt strategies to meet individual pupil needs.

  • Support students with SEND, SEMH needs, or those requiring alternative provision where appropriate.

  • Track and report on student progress, maintaining accurate session records.

  • Uphold safeguarding standards and promote a safe, supportive learning environment.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teachers (QTS/QTLS), Early Career Teachers (ECTs), or experienced tutors.

  • Graduates with strong subject knowledge and proven experience working with young people.

  • Specialists in core subjects such as English, Maths, Science, or Primary education.

  • Individuals with excellent communication skills, patience, and a nurturing approach.

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
