We're offering a full-time Level 2 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship in a specialist Alternative Provision in Towcester, starting March 2026. You'll work alongside experienced teachers and pastoral staff, supporting students aged 11-16 who may present with behavioural challenges, SEMH needs, or gaps in their education. This role is ideal for someone resilient, empathetic, and committed to learning and professional growth.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting students who have struggled in mainstream settings, working 1:1 and in small groups

  • Assisting with behaviour support strategies and helping maintain a calm, structured classroom environment

  • Encouraging students to engage with learning and develop positive routines

  • Supporting emotional regulation and modelling appropriate behaviour

  • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and learning activities

  • Completing structured training towards your fully funded Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification

  • Building positive, professional relationships with students and staff
