Are you a creative and passionate Art teacher ready to inspire the next generation of young artists?

We are working with a welcoming and high-performing secondary school in Northampton that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Art teacher from June or September 2026.

This role is ideally suited to teachers seeking a permanent position; however, the school is also open to considering strong candidates for fixed-term contracts or long-term supply placements.

Whether your specialism is Fine Art, Photography, Textiles, Digital Art, Sculpture, or Graphic Design, this is a fantastic opportunity to nurture students' creativity, build their confidence, and support their artistic development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, hands-on Art lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Encourage students to explore ideas, take creative risks, and develop their individual style
  • Support learners in building both technical ability and creative expression
  • Maintain a positive, organised, and inspiring classroom or studio environment
  • Work collaboratively with a supportive and creative Art department

Who We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Art in UK secondary schools
  • Ability to teach at least one Art specialism confidently
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for creativity and inspiring young people
