Full-Time Role | June or September 2026 Start | Ideal for Aspiring Science Teachers

Are you a recent Science graduate looking to begin your journey into education?
Tradewind Recruitment is working with a number of supportive secondary schools in Northampton who are offering exciting full-time opportunities for Science graduates to gain valuable classroom experience starting June or September 2026.

This is an excellent stepping-stone role for aspiring teachers who want to develop their skills in the classroom, support student learning in Science, and prepare for future teacher training routes such as a PGCE, SCITT, or School Direct programme.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting the Science department in delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Leading small group interventions and 1:1 support to reinforce key scientific concepts
  • Assisting with classroom activities, demonstrations, and practical experiments
  • Supporting teachers with lesson preparation, resources, and marking under guidance
  • Contributing to wider school life, including STEM clubs, revision sessions, and enrichment activities

Who We're Looking For:

  • A recent Science graduate (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related discipline) with a 2:2 degree or above
  • Confident communicators with a positive, proactive, and professional approach
  • Individuals with a genuine passion for Science and education
  • Aspiring teachers looking to gain school-based experience before formal training
  • Reliable, enthusiastic, and eager to develop within a secondary school environment
