1:1 Teaching Assistant - Kettering

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil within a welcoming school in the Kettering area.

This rewarding role involves providing tailored support to a student with additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the classroom environment.

The Role:

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil during lessons and school activities
• Supporting the student's academic, social, and emotional development
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
• Encouraging engagement, independence, and positive behaviour
• Assisting with differentiated learning activities and classroom tasks
• Building a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has experience working with children or young people, ideally within education
• Is patient, caring, and adaptable
• Has strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Can remain calm and supportive in challenging situations
• Has an understanding of SEND needs (desirable but not essential)
• Holds a proactive and positive attitude towards supporting learning
