Are you a creative and forward-thinking Design Technology & Art teacher looking to inspire the next generation of designers, makers, and artists?

We're working with a secondary school in Kettering that is seeking an enthusiastic Design Technology & Art teacher to join their department from June or September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about creativity, practical learning, and helping students develop both artistic and technical skills. The school is ideally looking to appoint on a permanent basis, although long-term supply and fixed-term contracts will also be considered for the right candidate.

Whether your specialism is Resistant Materials, Product Design, Graphics, Engineering, Textiles, Food Technology, Fine Art, or mixed creative subjects, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and practical Design Technology and Art lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Encourage creativity, innovation, and independent thinking in the classroom
  • Support students in developing technical, practical, and problem-solving skills
  • Create a safe, organised, and inspiring learning environment within workshops and studios
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative and supportive Creative Arts/Technology department

Who We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Design Technology and/or Art within UK secondary schools
  • Confidence teaching at least one DT or Art specialism
  • Strong classroom management, organisational, and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for creative education and student development
