We are proud to be supporting a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Wellingborough that is seeking a talented Design Technology teacher to join their department from September 2026.

Whether your specialism is Product Design, Engineering, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Textiles, or a combination of disciplines, this exciting opportunity will allow you to inspire students and help them develop valuable practical and problem-solving skills for the future.

Your Role

  • Delivering engaging and practical Design Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Encouraging students to develop creativity, technical knowledge, and design-thinking skills
  • Supporting pupils in producing high-quality project work and innovative design solutions
  • Maintaining a safe, organised, and stimulating workshop or classroom environment
  • Working collaboratively within a supportive and well-resourced DT department
  • Inspiring students to become confident, independent learners and creative thinkers

We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Design Technology within UK secondary schools
  • Confidence delivering one or more DT specialisms
  • Strong classroom management, organisational, and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for practical education and student achievement
  • Commitment to fostering creativity, innovation, and technical excellence
