Level 2 Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in the Wellingborough area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone looking to further their career in education while making a positive impact on pupils' learning and development.

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support learning across the curriculum, providing both classroom and targeted intervention support to help pupils achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.

  • Work with individuals and small groups of pupils to reinforce learning objectives.

  • Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials.

  • Support pupils with varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs.

  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement.

  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff where appropriate.

  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience in a school setting.

  • Experience supporting children in a primary or secondary school environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

  • A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning.

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
